Victories are always pleasant. For the first time in five years, the Russian ruble showed the most negative dynamics of course change among the post-Soviet countries, falling by 8% against the US dollar. At the same time, the best dynamics was demonstrated by Ukrainian currency: The hryvnia has appreciated by 7 %. It was reported by Bloomberg agency. More on financial victory – in reactions from DUMKA.
According to the latest rating, first place took hryvnia, while second and third places were respectively divided between Georgian and Moldovan currencies. Presumably, the fall of the Russian ruble is due to the introduction of new sanctions. Taking into account this, companies are less willing to invest in aggressor state’s companies. Here’s some kind of financial victory, just wondering, what our favorite betrayal lovers might say.
Oleksandr Snidalov, activist of Ukrainian community in the Netherlands, is convinced that the fall of the ruble can be explained by the fact that Fund is running out of money, that’s why even the rise in oil prices can’t help. As for the reasons for the growth of the hryvnia, the author of the post explains: the national Bank raised its discount rates, thus making attractive Ukrainian bonds. The stability of the euro, the currency used in the markets of the European Union, gave hryvnia a hand. And how to explain such indicators by frustrated and disappointed ones – we’ll just have to see. It is extremely difficult to recover quickly from such a punch in the worldview.
Blogger Denys Pyatygorets also turned to the desperate ones. He recalled huge amount of tears that were shed in air regarding default and transformation of the national currency into toilet paper. What can be done? The blogger called junta (irony, you understand?) to cheer up. Obviously, the greatest victories are still ahead. Well, Mr. Denys, I’ll pretend that I’ve accidentally forgotten about your past in the Party of Regions. Oh, it seems, that haven’t.
With a wonderful sarcasm, such a result was commented by blogger Borys Nemyrovskiy. He asked his readers for versions of why is it so bad for Ukraine, and where is betrayal. Mr. Borys, we both know that even in the greatest victory, betrayal can be found by specialist.
On betrayal that hadn’t happen commented journalist Oleksandr Zinchenko. Seriously or jokingly he offered to send whipping boys to the Dnipro River. At this stage, some kind of ecological service should come out and warn about possible contamination of Ukrainian river. But, you still need to be careful with your wishes.
Semen Kabakayev, coordinator of the “Stop Terror” group, instead, has shown us that enemy defeats can sometimes be enjoyed even more than your own victories. According to him, we should carry on like this and demonstrate opposition to Russia on the economic scene. Well, hold on, it’s going to be more interesting.
